Privacy Policy

Last updated October 4, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information College Financing Group (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects through collegefinancinggroup.com (the “Site”), how we use it, and the choices you have. “College Financing Group” means College Financing Group, LLC, with offices at 5586 Main St, Suite 103, Williamsville, NY 14221 and 757 Cayuga St, Suite 4, Lewiston, NY 14092. You can reach us at info@collegefinancinggroup.com or 716.745.7286.

If you are a client, the engagement agreement you sign with us also applies to your information. If it conflicts with this Policy, the engagement agreement takes precedence.

The short version

  • We collect the information you choose to give us through our forms, by email, phone or text, in paperwork you send or bring us, and in meetings, so we can respond to you and provide our consulting services.
  • We treat the financial and family information you share with us as confidential. We do not sell it, and we share it only as needed to provide the services you ask us for.
  • We use Google Analytics to understand how the Site is used. Our Cookie Policy lists every cookie the Site sets.
  • You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the information we hold about you at any time.

Information you give us

Most of the personal information we hold is information you choose to give us. You may give it to us by:

  • filling out a form on the Site;
  • emailing, calling or texting us;
  • mailing us paperwork, dropping it off or handing it to us, such as tax returns, financial aid forms, award letters or loan statements; or
  • talking with us in an in-person meeting or a video or phone meeting.

Depending on how you contact us and which of our services you use, this may include:

  • Contact details: your name, email address, phone number and the best time to reach you.
  • Your situation and questions: which of our services you are interested in, your college plans (such as Early Decision or Early Action), and anything you write in a message.
  • Financial aid details: if you complete our financial aid questionnaire, information such as household size, the number of family members in college, parents’ marital status, approximate income and assets, whether the family owns a business or farm, and any special circumstances.
  • Documents you give us: copies of paperwork such as tax returns, W-2s, financial aid applications, award letters and loan statements, and the details in them.
  • College partners: if you contact us on behalf of a college or university, your name, contact details, institution and message.

Please only share information about another person (for example, a student or parent) if you have their permission to do so.

Information collected automatically

  • Form details: when you submit a form, we also record the date and time, the page you submitted it from, your IP address and your browser type. This helps us prevent spam and fraud.
  • Spam protection: our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks signals from your browser to tell real visitors from automated bots before a form is submitted.
  • Analytics: we use Google Analytics to see how many people visit the Site, which pages they view, how they arrived and roughly where they are (country and city). We also count clicks on our phone number and “Schedule a Consultation” buttons. See our Cookie Policy for details.
  • Server and security logs: our hosting provider and security software record basic technical information, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, to keep the Site running and protect it from attacks.

How we use your information

  • To respond to your questions and schedule consultations.
  • To provide the financial aid and student loan repayment consulting services you request.
  • To send invoices and collect payment for our services.
  • To work with colleges and universities that partner with us.
  • To understand how the Site is used and improve it.
  • To keep the Site and our forms secure and free of spam.
  • To meet our legal, tax and record-keeping obligations.

If we want to use your information for a purpose not listed here, we will ask for your consent first.

Confidentiality of your financial information

The financial, family and loan information you share with us is used only to provide our services to you. We do not sell it or rent it. We share it only when you ask us to, for example with colleges, the U.S. Department of Education, the College Board (CSS Profile), state aid agencies or your loan servicer, to provide the services you requested. College Financing Group is a fee-based consulting firm and is not affiliated with any financial institution.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. Apart from sharing it at your request as described above, we share it only with service providers that help us run the Site and our business, and only as needed for them to do so:

  • WP Engine hosts the Site and stores form submissions.
  • Brevo delivers the email notifications our forms send to our staff.
  • Cloudflare provides the Turnstile spam check on our forms and security for the Site.
  • Google provides Google Analytics.
  • Adobe provides the fonts used on the Site.
  • Email, file storage and office software providers store our email and the documents you send us.
  • Harvest sends our invoices, and Stripe processes the payments made through them. You pay on Harvest’s own payment page, not on this Site, and we do not receive your full card or bank account numbers.
  • Zoom hosts our video meetings and calls. Zoom handles the meeting under its own privacy policy. We do not record calls or meetings.

These providers may store and process information in the United States and other countries.

We may also disclose information if required by law, regulation or legal process; to protect our rights or the safety of others; or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of our business, in which case the information would remain subject to this Policy.

When we no longer need it, we delete it or remove anything that identifies you, and securely dispose of paper copies.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;

Security

The Site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold, on paper and electronically, and limit access to the people who need it. However, no website or method of storing information is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a security breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by law.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above. Please review it periodically.
