SUNY colleges rank high nationally among public schools

There’s been another win for the affordable State University of New York (SUNY) system.

A recent study by The Business Journals analyzed the quality of 484 public colleges in America, and several SUNY colleges ranked among the best.

Here’s how the SUNY schools ranked in the top 50:

  • Binghamton University: 18th
  • Stonybrook University: 32nd
  • SUNY Geneseo: 35th
  • University at Buffalo: 47th

Another 9 New York state colleges ranked in the top 100, including Baruch College, the University at Albany, and SUNY New Paltz, with a total of 26 New York state schools in the top 250.

The top public colleges in the U.S.

Nationally,the top-ranked public college was the University of Michigan, followed by the University of North Carolina and the University of Virginia.
