Student loans don’t cut it: how Americans pay for college

As college costs continue to rise, families have become increasingly aware of the need to carefully consider various college options before sending their students to an ultra-expensive school.

Families have become more reliant on scholarships and grants, and parents have been less willing, or able, to take out loans in order to pay for their son or daughter’s college education.
