And now, thanks to a generous donation from two of its alumni, one community college in Rochester, NY has made that option even more attractive.

MCC creates 40 full-tuition scholarships

A recent $2.25 million donation from a pair of Monroe Community College alumni will provide full scholarships to 40 students each year.

The gift was given by MCC alumni Robin and Timothy Wentworth, establishing the Wentworth Family Scholarship Program. The donation is the largest gift in the college’s history.

Saving money on college

The Wentworths are living proof that a community college can be a great foundations for a college education and successful career.

After graduating from MCC, Timothy transferred to Cornell University to study business administration, and now has a career in the pharmaceuticals industry. Both he and his wife were the first in their families to attend college.
